§ 17 PRODUCT USE AND MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES

The substrate used for printing a photo is Dibond®, a lightweight, rigid, and durable panel made of aluminum and composite materials. The print is produced using the DeePrint technique, which allows us to reproduce the textures and reliefs of any area captured in the frame. The paints, inks, and pigments used in the print are durable and strong, but they are not immune to maintenance procedures or weather conditions. Adhering to our guidelines will ensure that you can enjoy their beauty for as long as possible.

Usage guidelines:

  • The prints are intended for indoor use and should not be placed permanently outdoors, as they are sensitive to weather conditions.
  • Prints should be hung on interior walls at optimal humidity levels between 40% and 70%, and at temperatures between 15°C and 30°C.
  • Prints must be mounted on walls that are perpendicular to the floor. Do not hang prints on slanted walls or ceilings.
  • When hanging a print, always ensure that it is stable to reduce the risk of falling. External factors, such as vibrations, can loosen the mounting and cause the print to fall.
  • Do not add extra weight to the print or place any heavy objects on it. Do not press on the center of the print against the mounted surface.
  • Due to their dimensions, prints must be mounted only on a stable and sturdy substrate.
  • Avoid mounting prints too close to radiators or other heat sources.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and water.
  • Because of the variety of computer screens, a slight color difference between the actual print and its online visualization is normal.
  • When planning the installation of prints, choose locations from which they can be viewed from at least 1 meter away for the best visual effect.
  • If a print becomes damaged, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Contact us first.
  • When moving a print, wrap it in protective material to avoid damage.
  • If using decorative lighting near the prints, choose lamps that do not emit excessive heat.
  • Avoid mounting a print in a location exposed to direct sunlight.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Do not use products containing organic solvents, detergents, cleaning fluids, or soap to clean the surface of the prints.
  • Never clean the print’s surface with alcohol, gasoline, acetone, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners. Any chemicals may react with the pigments and paints, causing damage to the print.
  • If dust appears on the print’s surface, gently wipe it with a dusting brush, a soft cotton cloth, or microfiber. Clean gently, without rubbing or applying pressure.
  • Pay special attention to areas of the print with high texture so as not to catch the cloth on the relief.
  • Never use cleaning sponges with rough surfaces, hard pumice stones, sandpaper, sharp tools, or a vacuum cleaner.
  • Do not test the print’s adhesion by scratching it with a fingernail or any sharp object, as this may scratch or destroy the print.
  • Exercise extra caution when cleaning the area where the print meets the frame.
  • During use, small cracks of varying width and depth may appear in the wooden frame. This is natural behavior of wood, which is hygroscopic and adjusts its moisture content to its environment.
  • Wooden frames are sensitive to rapid temperature changes, prolonged UV exposure, and frequent humidity fluctuations.
  • The wooden frame will change color over time due to light exposure; this is a natural characteristic.
  • Dust the frame with a dry cotton cloth or duster.
  • If you wish to use a damp cloth to wipe the frame, first test the reaction of the wood on a small, inconspicuous area.
  • Do not use detergents or solvent-based products to wash the frame.
